History
The seeds of ATCI were planted in 1983.

The seeds of ATCI were planted in 1983 when a group of
computer vendors came together to organize an exhibition to promote the local
computer business. The show, the IT Trade exhibition, has grown to be the key
information technology industry event in the country. The success of IT trade
also inspired participating companies to establish the Assciation of Thai
Computer Industry (ATCI) in 1989. ATCI has grown with the IT industry not just
in size, but in scope and purpose. A new charter adopted in 1998 extends
membership to any company that sees information processing and providing as core
its business interest, including manufacturers and information service
providers. The expanded members categories better reflect the dynamism of the
information industry. ATCI always welcomes new members. Begin the
application process by contacting ATCI secretariat.
